Indications

Unresectable or metastatic NSCLC1

  • For the treatment of adult patients with unresectable or metastatic non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) whose tumors have HER2 (ERBB2) tyrosine kinase domain activating mutations, as detected by an FDA-authorized test.

*This indication is approved under accelerated approval based on objective response rate and duration of response. Continued approval may be contingent upon verification and description of clinical benefit in a confirmatory trial.1

Pivotal Study

Beamion LUNG-1 (NCT04886804)1,2

  • Key Inclusion Criteria: Eligible patients had a histologically or cytologically confirmed diagnosis of HER2-mutant advanced or metastatic NSCLC according to local laboratory assessment; at least one measurable lesion according to the Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST), version 1.1; an Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group performance-status score of 0 or 1 (scores range from 0 to 5, with higher scores indicating greater disability); and had received at least one line of systemic therapy for advanced or metastatic disease that included a platinum-based combination chemotherapy.
  • Treatment: Patients in cohort 1 were randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to receive zongertinib at a dose of either 120 mg or 240 mg once daily in 21-day cycles until the dose of 120 mg once daily was selected during an interim dose-selection analysis.
